About Me

Life can be challenging. At times, it can feel overwhelming, messy and unpredictable.

We might find ourselves feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure of how to navigate the situations life throws our way – whether it’s relationships, stress, self-doubt or major life transitions. While it’s easy to get caught up in feeling like we should have it all figured out, the reality is – being human is hard sometimes.

I believe that feeling heard, seen and accepted as you are can be a powerful starting point for change. I strive to foster an inclusive and affirming space, and one that feels genuine, comfortable and collaborative. A place where you don’t have to filter yourself or have it all figured out – a space where you can show up fully as yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s feeling heavy, uncover your strengths, and work towards what feels meaningful for you. I view you as the expert of your own life, and I’m here to support you in navigating challenges, making sense of your experiences, and moving towards growth and change at your own pace.

My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling a little more connected to yourself, a little more understood, and maybe even a little lighter. Whether it’s clarity, comfort, or simply the relief of saying things out loud, I hope our time together can offer what you need. Most of all, I want you to leave knowing that you don’t have to carry it all alone.

Daniella Simas Medeiros is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Master of Arts in Psychotherapy student at Yorkville University. With a background in advocacy, case management, and mental health research, she has worked closely with individuals navigating high-stress environments and complex life transitions. Her experience includes research on workplace mental health and trauma, including first responders and those in demanding professions. Daniella also has experience in the Federal government, working with individuals navigating complex systems.

With a lifelong love for sports and a background in competitive soccer, she also has firsthand experience with the mental demands of high-performance environments.

  • I’m all about balancing energy with a good cup of coffee and staying active, whether it's walking my dog (Rocky), pushing myself in F45 classes or playing a good game of soccer.

I spent two years on the East Coast, where I became a pro at layering for unpredictable weather and mastering the art of coastal walks - sometimes in the rain, always with a view!

Outside of the therapy room, I appreciate any chance to slow down, recharge, and spend meaningful time with the people (and pup) I love.
